NCS Blog - New Content Strategy + Series
As Senior Copywriter at NCS, it was up to me to re-structure our blog. We were creating some great content but there was no strategy that informed our content brainstorms. The team was crying out for a clearer direction to help organise these meetings and so I proactively set to work, firstly crafting overall categories – ‘Inspire Me’, ‘Help Me Out’ and ‘Give Me A Break’. I wanted to consider the user experience on our site and make it easy for our audience of young people to navigate. I put myself in their shoes and for each category, led with a benefit, ie. actively describing what they would get out of it. From this I created a content series which I believed was broad enough to give us longevity while also embraced the new tone of NCS - ‘No We Can’.
Below you can see the range of series I set up – most of which is content I then went on to concept, research and write. It’s great to see that even after I’ve left the business, these content series live on and are still going strong.
Header copy, welcoming young people to our blog and explaining what they’ll find here. The overarching categories then revealed further topics and within these lived the series.
