Hello, I’m Becky. Thanks for checking in.

Who am I?
I’m Becky Adams and I'm a creative copywriter and content strategist. I’m enthusiastic, self-motivated and ambitious. I have a strategic mind and I know that simplicity is key. I thoroughly enjoy working with words.
I have been in the advertising industry for well over a decade now (yikes), working as both as a single conceptual copywriter and as part of a creative team. I’ve worked in B2C and B2B advertising agencies, in-house, with small independents and at several start-ups.
From award-winning integrated ideas to effective SEO work, I’ve written for all kinds of media and I love the variety my career offers.
In recent years, I’ve used my expertise to branch out a little. I’ve set up my own business, Pardons and I’ve also been writing picture books in my spare time.
Who’ve I written for?
What have I achieved?
In my career so far, I have featured in two TV ads, once in person and once as a gasping frog – 5 points if you can spot me.
My work has been pitched to Facebook with an epic proposal to change the Timeline, all in aid of a charity.
I have accidentally insulted voice overs by forgetting to remove 'people who like to think they can sing' from my initial script.
I've sparked a social discussion about what names could be given to white paint variants. (No one beat my favourite of Albino Squirrel White.)
I've sent my Creative Director off to present an idea without the knowledge of what 'scat and share' could be misinterpreted as... (If you're unsure, please don't google it.)
And I've written a tongue twister that even I can't say.
Oh, I’ve also won a few awards, a D&AD Baby Pencil, YCN, MPA Roses and I was shortlisted in the Big Bus Awards too.
What can I do for you?
Sure, I may work full-time, but I absolutely love to write and fill most of my spare time with it too. So if you’re after a word masseuse, I’d happily help you out on a freelance basis. I have a broad skillset and I’m experienced in writing for most sectors. From small independents at notonthehighstreet and Global Media to blue chip giants at Leo Burnett and BBH, I love tackling the different challenges that different brands pose. I also take on commissions for bespoke poetry gifts. All you’ve got to do if make the first move and get in touch.
